Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: Departure from Kigali to Akagera National Park

Departing from Kigali to Akagera National Park where you will enjoy the best of Rwanda’s wildlife safari holiday. You can either take a domestic flight to Akagera National Park or embark on a scenic drive to the park that takes almost 3 hours in a comfortable 4×4 safari car. Check into your accommodation within or near the park.

DAY 2: Full Game drive in the park

Start your day with an early breakfast, and then set out for a full-day game drive. This is your opportunity to look for the Big Five and other wildlife species. In the afternoon you will enjoy a picnic lunch within the park, later you will continue your game drive and make the most of the day to observe and photograph the park’s diverse fauna. In the evening you will Return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

DAY 3: Boat cruise on Lake Ihema and Departure

In the morning after breakfast Check out of the hotel and you will drive to the lake and take a boat trip on Lake Ihema. This is a unique experience to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of waterbirds. Later enjoy your packed lunch in the designated areas as you are ready to depart and transfer straight to Kigali Airport (KGL) or Hotel.
